Blessed Potion of Enlightenment (Unless you started with Wisdom at 18 too)īeing cursed generally discounts any given one unless you also happened to get a bottle of holy water. My policy with the Sorcerer is that one of the following needs to be in that set for me to accept my starting allotment without restarting to get something better: The Sorcerer, however, is a step beyond the rest because his starting equipment includes 10 entirely random potions. This is because the need for spellbooks to provide yourself with offensive options and survivability, as it's very hard to just 'use what you find' if you don't find any spells. That said, don't be afraid to train up a single point of Life and Light since maxing your spell skills doesn't provide any huge bonus, unless you decide to wear a lot of metal armor (why?).ĭiving InAlright, now, as anyone who's played Wazhack more than once knows, playing a spellcaster means you are relying on luck of the draw even more than other characters do. However, the reason you want that theoretical order is that this will let you more easily build up the very useful Death skill that you don't start off with, while then hopefully having a decent array of Dark spells to supplement and take advantage of your starting skill. That's statistically, of course, with the luck most have playing Wazhack, you'll get the opposite of what you want. My personal preference is Chaotic Evil this will mean you find more Death spells than others (theoretically), followed by Dark, followed by Life, and Light being last. Seems like a waste to ignore it, and Dexterity seems to be minimally important for melee accuracy, at least when compared to the effect all other stats have on your character.įinally, you need to consider alignment. As for Dexterity, I leave it so low because I generally don't focus on ranged weapons since we already have that polearm skill point to work with. First, feel free to drop Dexterity to 6 and raise Wisdom I leave it at 17 just so if I start with a blessed potion of enlightenment (which seems oddly common) it has somewhere to go. It's a bit of an oddity for a spellcaster, but it's something that can be worked with. For one thing, the Sorcerer does NOT start off with Death at 1 anymore, his starting skills are Dark 1 and Polearms 1. Some older versions are available from - please use one of these if the latest version doesn't perform well on an old or low-power device.Character creation is for the most part pretty obvious with the Sorcerer, but there are a few things to mention, especially if you're used to 1.3. Supports different controls tuned for phones, tablets, and Android TV gamepads. This can also be seen/purchased in advance under Options/Store. The whole game can be played with any character - you only need to purchase your favourite character(s). This is a one-off purchase for each type of character (for example, the sorcerer and sorceress are a single type - Evil Mages). When you get good enough to survive to 300 feet, you will be asked to upgrade your character to access the full dungeon. You will die frequently, but you will learn tricks that will help your next valiant attempt until you one day conquer the dungeon! It is as much about the journey as the destination. This game will show you a whole new form of the "roguelike" genre. will it be a scroll of fire that incinerates your clothes? Will it be a blessed scroll of teleportation for the ultimate escape? Sometimes in sheer desperation you'll read a random unidentified scroll. Some games you'll find a good weapon early, other times you'll rely on wands or potions, or some combination. The procedurally-generated dungeon and vast array of possible items gives immense replay value. With 300 different types of items to be found, you will keep finding novel ways to deal with the 130 different types of monsters you will face on your journey! You have time to think, but this is no puzzler - you will have to use your weapons as much as your inventory.
